In the largest live worldwide concert in history, LIVE EARTH concerts raised awareness to combat Global Warming on July 7, 2007.

Launched by former US Vice President Al Gore to combat Global Warming, with partner Kevin Wall the producer of Live 8, Gore hopes that finally, this can be the tipping point of a "Green Revolution" worldwide to save the planet.

View images of the Shanghai and Tokyo concerts, part of a series that took place over the 24-hour period across seven continents.

The concerts in New York, London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hamburg, Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney were joined by more than 10,000 "Friends of Live Earth" events in 129 countries, and all 50 states in the U.S.

Ang Lee's LUST, CAUTION

Tony Leung and Tang Wei star in Ang Lee's latest film called LUST, CAUTION, an espionage thriller set in WWII-era Shanghai.

Academy Award-winning Director Ang Lee ("Brokeback Mountain," "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" ) has a new film debuting in late September with an intriguing title "LUST, CAUTION" set in World War II-era Shanghai.

The film is an espionage thriller based on the short story by Eileen Chang. "LUST, CAUTION" stars Tony Leung ("Hero," "In the Mood for Love") as Mr. Yee, a powerful political figure in 1940s Shanghai. Tang Wei, a rising star in mainland China, makes her feature film debut as Wang Jiazhi, a young woman who gets swept up in a dangerous game of emotional intrigue with Mr. Yee. The cast includes Joan Chen and Wang Leehom.

Sendhil Ramamurthy of NBC's "Heroes" is the keynote speaker at the 2007 SAJA Gala Dinner in New York.

Tickets are still available for the SAJA gala dinner on Saturday, July 14, 2007, which features Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays Dr. Mohinder Suresh on NBC's hit show "Heroes" as the keynote speaker; the 2007 SAJA award and scholarship winners and SAJA Hall of Fame inductee, Peter Bhatia. CBS correspondent Hari Sreenivasan and Aditi Roy, an anchor with NBC 10 News in Philadelphia will emcee the gala. Tune into the historical Korean drama series Dae Jo Young on AZN television.

Tune into the historical Korean drama series Dae Jo Young when AZN television premieres the first episode on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at 9:00 p.m. ET. The series airs Monday through Friday at 9:00 p.m. ET with a new ninety minute episode showing each night. In Korean with English subtitles, Dae Jo Young first aired in South Korea in 2006 on KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) and is the highest rated historical drama series.

Dae Jo Young is an epic historical drama depicting King Dae Jo Young and other heroes of the Balhae Kingdom, dating back some 1300 years ago. The King battles it out with Yi Hae-go, his rival for supremacy in the northern territories and they also face off over the love of Cho-rin, a woman from the Georan tribe.

AZN Television has aired hit Korean dramas such as My Lovely Sam-Soon , All About Eve and Winter Sonata . Dae Jo Young joins AZN's existing lineup of Korean dramas which includes the Hello My Lady and Hwang Jini series.

Elvis is Back - and his name is Ben!

Actually, its our very own Renaissance Man, former senior editor of Rolling Stone, author, TV and radio broadcaster Ben Fong-Torres, and what a voice!

Ben launches AsianConnections new video channel with a tribute to Elvis. Perfect timing since the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death is coming up August 16.

Ben's singing Treat Me Nice with some custom lyrics at Yet Wah in San Francisco filmed for one of his Emmy award winning annual Chinese New Year Parade telecasts on KTVU-TV. Ben sang this when he co-hosted with KTVU's Thuy Vu in 1999. He won another Emmy again this year, co-hosting with Julie Haener.
